What is the restoration of a Buddhist statue?

What conservation treatment do we need to conserve a Buddhist statue for posterity? We always make sure to consult the owners, art historians, conservation scientists, etc., throughout the restoration process. The most important thing is to stabilize the inside of the structure, which is not visible from the outside. Although we are usually occupied with appearances like gold leaf, restoration is not concerned with painting on the surface to make the appearance look new or old. We need to make judgments and consider traditional techniques while observing the latest studies of art history.

We are aided in this by our ability to analyze various polychromes using sophisticated analyzers in our studio.
